bubbles...the potty and her 'ating'

my darlin bubbles..is super attached to her 'ating', everyone who knows her knows how protective she is over her 'ating'. It all started when she was a wee baby, whenever she couldnt stop crying we would give her the dummy to sooth her and since then..its been her best fren.

a funny thing happen over the weekn...as u all know, we're trying to potty train her, so last saturday as i was getting her prep for jalan-jalan, i asked her is she wanted to go 'shee shee'...so she said yes..and off we go on the potty. 5 mins later, she did pee..and i was soo excited...i said..'look safeia...dah shee shee...' she looked down and opps.....theres goes her 'ating' in the potty..kekekkekeke...i really wanted to burst out laughing but i had to control myself...coz she was still abit in shock!

looking confused and shocked at what just happened, she told me to take her dummy and wash it...so i did take it from the bowl...but i didnt wash it..i told her that it was too dirty and smelly that we have to trash it in the bin...so i asked her if its ok? and she said....'OK'...i guess she didnt know that, it was the end of her and her 'ating'....seeing her fav thing in the bin with her smelly diapers...seems to put her off it for the rest of the day...but she did wake up in the middle of the nite and was really upset..as if something was missing...poor baby!..we were very close to giving in...but we thot..lets just hold it of..and see if she comes down...she eventually did and fell asleep again without it....

its been 2 days without it and im very proud of her...she sometimes asked for it..but i reminded her and take her to the bin and showed her the dummy in the bin with the diapers...and she looks at it and says..yucks!!

we werent planning to take her off it now...we thot we might give it a few more months..but since this happenned..i guess it a blessing :D and yes i did wash my hands with Dettol afterwards.
