Easy Aglio Olio

I was watching Rachael Ray yesterday and she made aglio olio, my fav pasta coz its not complicated but yummss....ive tried making this loads of time but theres always something that missing in the taste and now i know what it is!!! anchovies, well not the ikan bilis kering but the ones that comes in a bottle or small little can in oil, i neverr noticed them in KL but im sure they are everywhere!

So i tried it today and im in heaven of olio, sedap giler macam kat kedai! im making some more tonite for my caveman to go with some seabass and tomatoes, sounds like a good combination aye!

For those who loves aglio olio here's the recipe:-

Aglio Olio

1. Salt
2. Spaghetti ( for 4 peeps )
3. 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
4. 5 anchovy fillets with red pepper flakes (if you can't find these, use regular anchovies and add 1/2 tablespoon of crush cili flakes )
5. 6-8 large cloves garlic ( chopped to tiny bits or grated )
6. 1/2 cup finely chopped flat-leaf parsley
7. Freshly ground black pepper


-Boil some water and add in some salt, once the water started to boil add in your pasta and cook until they are ala-dante
- In a deep pan, heat up the olive oil in medium heat
- Add in the garlic , anchovies and cili flakes and fry them together until the anchovies has melted.. watch your fire so that it doesnt burn the garlic
- When your pasta is almost ready, add 1 cup of the boiling water from the pasta and add it in the pan, then add in the pasta in the fan too.
-Add some salt,pepper & parsley, taste the sauce.
-Tosss the pasta around in the pan so that it can soak up the sauce from the pan for a min or so.

and thats your aglio olio ready to eat!
